چکیده

A 76-Gbit/s 265-GHz CMOS receiver (RX) modularized with a WR-3.4 waveguide interface is presented. It mixer-first RX fabricated using 40-nm technology. The primary design focus simplicity and the resulting low noise loss high conversion gain (CG). To allow for both on-wafer packaged measurements, ON-chip transmission lines are designed such that their characteristics relatively insensitive to presence or absence of adhesive covering chip. chip flip-chip-mounted on multilayer printed circuit board (PCB). Built into PCB transition double-resonant stacked patches wideband operation. module achieves highest wireless data rate 76 Gbit/s 16 QAM, which comparable 80 reported previously probing measurement.

GHz Tunable Gunn Oscillator in WR - 137 Waveguide

The conventional technique of realising waveguide resonators for Gunn diode oscillators to operate at the band edge of the waveguide fails owing to the excitation of a coaxial mode resonance formed by the post and the side walls of the waveguide. One of the solutions to the problem is to mount the diode in a ridged waveguide resonator, This has been demonstrated by constructing an 8 GHz Gunn os...

A Low-Power 2.4-GHz Transmitter/Receiver CMOS IC

A 2.4-GHz CMOS receiver/transmitter incorporates circuit stacking and noninvasive baseband filtering to achieve a high sensitivity with low power dissipation. Using a single 1.6-GHz local oscillator, the transceiver employs two upconversion and downconversion stages while providing on-chip image rejection filtering. Realized in a 0.25m digital CMOS technology, the receiver exhibits a noise figu...

A 2.4-GHz CMOS Receiver for IEEE 802.11 Wireless LAN’s

This paper describes a radio-frequency receiver targeting spread-spectrum wireless local-area-network applications in the 2.4-GHz band. Based on a direct-conversion architecture, the receiver employs partial channel selection filtering, dc offset removal, and baseband amplification. Fabricated in a 0.6m CMOS technology, the receiver achieves a noise figure of 8.3 dB, IP3 of 9 dBm, IP 2 of +22 d...

A 24-GHz Phased-Array Receiver in 0.13-μm CMOS using an 8-GHz LO

This paper presents a 24-GHz two-channel phasedarray receiver. The receiver adopts the LO-phase-shifting approach and employs a sub-harmonically injection-locked phaseshifter. A CMOS-only prototype, fabricated in a 130-nm SiGe BiCMOS technology, draws 16-mA of current from a 1.5-V supply and consists of a injection-locked oscillator (operating as a phase-shifter, LO-buffer and frequency multipl...

A 5.2-GHz CMOS receiver employs a double downconversion heterodyne architecture with a local oscillator frequency of 2.6 GHz and applies offset cancellation to the baseband amplifiers. Placing the image around the zero frequency, the receiver achieves an image rejection of 62 dB with no external components while minimizing the flicker noise upconversion in the first mixing operation. Realized i...
